Zoostock

In August of 1969, Woodstock celebrated “Three Days of Peace & Music”.  On Friday, August 20, from 6:00 – 9:30 p.m., the Hattiesburg Zoo will celebrate “Three Hours of Peace & Music”, at the second annual Zoostock. 

Slip into your tie-dye t’shirt, your best tassled vest, a great pair of shades, and your hippest pair of bell-bottoms - just make sure you wear your best threads.  We are expecting plenty of hunks and foxes for this righteous evening.
Come hang loose, and check out our heavy DJ spinning twitchin’ tunes while you dance the night away or freak out with your friends on our exclusive Splash Pad of Foam.  There will be plenty of 60’s inspired icy beverages to keep you cool, and you can pig out on some tasty grub like crazy cotton candy to keep you going strong.  Make sure you bring enough scratch (money) to buy the food, sweets and drinks you desire. 
Get more mellow with cool tunes at the Pavilion of Peace & Love where you can get your game on with large-scale party games including a giant Jenga and competitive cornhole. The ‘peace train’ and the ‘psychedelic carousel’ will be running all evening for laid-back riders to enjoy over and over. 
Before you split - make sure you stop by the Medic Station, and refuel on a granola and a bottle of Peace Tea.  It will for sure be an outta sight night!
Whether you arrive in your wood-panel station wagon, your Slug Bug or your peace-sign covered school bus, call shotgun and get on over to Zoostock 2021.  Don’t be bummed out by missing this groovy night at the Hattiesburg Zoo.
