Islamic thought is often seen as hostile to the West, or even reason itself. This lecture examines centuries of influence and connection among Islamic, Jewish, and Christian political thinkers. All three traditions wrestled with a common heritage of Greek political categories. The lecture explores the Islamic response to this challenge.
