Hattiesburg Jaycees 70th Annual Virtual Shoebox Christmas Parade

The Hattiesburg Jaycees are excited to announce the 2020 Annual Christmas Parade details. In light of COVID-19 and the concern for the health and well-being of the community this year’s parade will be Hattiesburg’s very first Virtual Shoebox Parade! While it may look a little different, this year, the Christmas Parade Committee hopes you will join us to celebrate in one of Hattiesburg’s most loved Christmas traditions.
 
This year’s theme is Hope for the Holidays, Unity in the Community. The Jaycees hope to inspire the community to give thanks to our everyday local heroes with this theme. The shoebox parade offers a unique opportunity for families, friends, and coworkers to come together to create “floats” and share the holiday spirit.
 
A video of all the shoebox parade floats, complete with commentary, will premier via Facebook on Thursday, December 3, 2020, at 6 PM. After the video premiere, all floats will be displayed in various Downtown Hattiesburg store window fronts, throughout the month of December for families to view around and enjoy.
