DESCRIPTION:On Saturday\, December 10th\, the Sixth Street Museum District will celebrate the sights and sounds of Christmas.  The Christmas Open House will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at both the African American Military History Museum (USO) and Smith Drug Co. \n\n \n\nAfrican American Military History Museum:\n\n305 E. Sixth Street\n\n	Christmas Carolers\n	Pictures with Santa Claus\n	Special Christmas tour of the Museum\n	Holiday Arts & Crafts Project Station\n	Complimentary Gift Wrap Station\n\n \n\nSmith Drug Co.:\n\n606 Mobile Street\n\n\n	Mrs. Claus will be reading Christmas stories\n\n \n\n"This is an annual event that is beloved by our community\," said Latoya Norman\, Director of Museums for the Hattiesburg Convention Commission.  "This year we will spread Christmas cheer from one end of Sixth Street to the other with Smith Drug Co. being added to The Sixth Street Museum District\," "We hope visitors will visit both the USO and Smith Drug Co. to enjoy all of the Christmas delights\," continued Norman.  \n\n \n\nThe Sixth Street Museum District's Christmas Open House is open to the public and is free of charge.  Light refreshments will be served at both the African American Military History Museum and Smith Drug Co.  Visitors are encouraged to bring an unwrapped toy to support the AAMHM's longtime partnership with the United States Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots.
