DESCRIPTION:The Sixth Street Museum District will host their annual Christmas Open House on Saturday\, December 9th from 11:00 a.m.   2:00 p.m.  At 11:00 a.m. a special ceremony will be held at the Generations Strong Wall where the final panel installations will be unveiled on the commemorative display.\n\n \n\nAt 12:00 noon visitors can stop by Smith Drug Co. where Mrs. Claus will be holding story time and offering delicious home-baked teacakes.  Christmas carolers will be performing at the African American Military History Museum and guests can take photos with Santa Claus\, tour the museum and enjoy refreshments.  There will also be a complimentary gift-wrapping station.  \n\n \n\n11:00 AM\n\nGenerations Strong Wall (behind Eureka School)\n\n410 E. Sixth Street\n\n	Ceremony and new panel unveiling at the Generations Strong Wall\n\nNine additional honorees have been selected by the wall committee to be added to the Generations Strong Wall: Inspiring African Americans of Hattiesburg display. "This year is even more special with our unveiling of the final panels that are being added to the Generations Strong Wall."  \n\n \n\nThe Sixth Street Museum District's Christmas Open House is open to the public and is free of charge.  Light refreshments will be served at both the African American Military History Museum and Smith Drug Co.  Visitors are encouraged to bring an unwrapped toy to support the AAMHM's longtime partnership with the United States Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots program.
