DESCRIPTION:The City of Hattiesburg\, Mississippi Power and Area Development Partnership will host a ribbon cutting at the site of the newly constructed sheltered bus stop located on Highway 42 Bypass in Hattiesburg on Friday\, January 16 at 9 a.m. Mississippi Power provided  funding of  $7\, 500 for construction cost. The City of Hattiesburg's Mass Transit Division provided the shelter which was previously purchased with Federal Transit Authority (FTA) grant funds. The City of Hattiesburg Public Works Department installed the sheltered bus stop and also enhanced the site with sidewalks\, curbing\, railing\, sod\, etc.
