DESCRIPTION:Southern Miss Theatre is delighted to announce that it will become a broadcast venue for Britain's illustrious National Theatre!\n\n\n\nBeginning in October 2013 with 'Othello'\, starring Adrian Lester and Rory Kinnear\, the Department of Theatre will broadcast live recordings of London performances at USM's Tatum Theatre in Hattiesburg\, Mississippi.\n\n\n\n'Othello' will be followed by a full season of internationally acclaimed theatre\, including Kenneth Branagh's recent 'Macbeth'\, Danny Boyle's 'Frankenstein' starring Benedict Cumberbatch and Johnny Lee Miller\, and the Donmar Warehouse production of Shakespeare's 'Coriolanus'.\n\n\n\nPerformances in London are 'live captured' with the finest High Definition technology and then subsequently broadcast to venues the world over\, allowing for world class productions\, acclaimed actors\, and groundbreaking companies to be seen here in southern Mississippi.\n\n\n\nSouthern Miss Theatre is proud to introduce world class theatre to Hattiesburg and the surrounding region\, and we hope that you will join us for this exciting endeavor! The broadcasts are made possible through generous private donations and with additional financial support provided by the Dean's Office of the College of Arts and Letters.
