"Small Business Saturday not only gives you the opportunity to take advantage of special deals and discounts on great merchandise\, but it is a win-win because you can do so while supporting your community and avoiding of the hassle of malls and big box stores\," said Ellen McKenzie\, owner of McKenzie's on Main. \n\n"Downtown offers a personalized level of customer service you won't find anywhere else in Hattiesburg. We have a community of retailers and restauranteurs that are on hand and ready to promote and encourage the greater good of Downtown\," said Rosie Knop\, owner of Playpen Kids and Maternity. \n\nThis year\, get Downtown to shop small for great gifts and food as well as local art and craft beer. Do it for the businesses you love\, for the community you call home\, and for the money that can stay in the neighborhood when we all Shop Small. This November 28 get up\, get out\, and Shop Small. \n\n"For every $100 spent at a local business $68 is returned to the community. Supporting local businesses like the ones downtown\, help us continue to build the great community we have in Hattiesburg.
