SUMMARY:Cinco De Milo Celebration
DESCRIPTION:Milo has donned his sombrero and poncho for his Second Annual Cinco de Milo Celebration at the Hattiesburg Pocket Museum\, which will take place Thursday\, May 5th from 5:30 7:30 p.m. There will be food\, games and festivities for friends and families of all ages. \n\n \n\nOn site will be Kat Daddies serving Mexican Street Corn\, Churros and Daquiries\, Brady's Snow Shack scooping up colorful Snow Cups\, and South Miss Hotdogs and Handpies serving Mexican twists on American favorites. And of course\, there will be Margaritas and Mexicokes too. There will also be giant games including UNO\, Cactus Ring Toss\, Connect4\, Legos and Corn Hole. \n\n \n\nNew to the alley during this special event will be the Hattiesburg Pocket Watch. When people visit the Hattiesburg Pocket Museum there is so much to explore and see that people often lose track of time while exploring\, taking photographs\, looking for little people or checking out the many art installations. "The Alley has a magical way of taking you to another world where minutes\, seconds and hours do not exist!" said Rick Taylor\, Executive Director of the Hattiesburg Convention Commission\, which oversees and manages the operations of the Hattiesburg Pocket Museum. "However\, there are situations where one needs to know when to return to the real world\, and that's where the Hattiesburg Pocket Watch comes into play." Milo and his brother\, Tarus\, have been working behind the scenes to help visitor keep track of every minute of every day. "We are not going to tell you exactly what the Hattiesburg Pocket Watch is\, but we will say it's a 'novel: way to tell time'\," continued Taylor. "Every minute has a story. Literally."\n\nThe Saenger Theater will be open and Milo's t-shirts will be available for purchase during the Cinco de Milo Celebration.
