Located at 103 East Front Street in Downtown Hattiesburg brownstone's will serve the public over 300 free Thanksgiving dinners. Volunteers from the community will serve all the thanksgiving trimmings from 11 am to 4 pm on Thursday\, Nov. 26\, 2009. Food will be donated and prepared by Brownstone's staff and family\, Big Star Supermarket\, Sysco Foods\, Strick's Bar-B-Q\, Gold Post\, along with volunteers from the community and R3SM. Although dinner is free\, donations are requested as a thank you and to assist R3SM with their continued work to assist area families Restore\, Rebuild and Recover. A United Way Agency which is South Central Mississippi's Long Term Recovery non-profit agency that currently serves 28 counties. These extra dollars will support and assist in the renovation of the Volunteer House at 301 Buschman St. This home will serve individuals (elderly\, disabled and single parents) whose homes are damaged by hurricanes\, tornados\, flooding\, fire and other catastrophic events.
